between art and crafts in an entertaining way. Art is an area where one can be neat, but still, be in a words ‘messy’. This is a story of two characters, Art and Joy, who happen to be an art box and a sun, who enjoy making all kinds of things from the materials they find. They use their imaginations till one day Art meets a new friend ‘Art Bully’ who says one must be ‘perfect’ in making things in a tidy manner and the right way. Art must decide what is more important to be perfect or to be creative. One can be organized and still be creative; art is supposed to be fun and still learn skills for living and using imagination. Danielle has created an art book for teachers of Day Care, Preschool, Kindergarten through even the third grade with many ideas that are presented throughout this picture book that can also be used for math and science activities as well as for reading and language skills. Art and Joy even teach a few social skills in a way.
This inspiring tale is designed to help young artists aged five and up overcome their inner critic and embrace their artistic expression. The book tells the story of two best friends, Art and Joy, who stand up to the “Art Bully” that criticizes their creative endeavors.
