Turkey’s Revenge by Conya Bailey Scott

With Thanksgiving around the corner , here is a little something for everyone.Let’s see Thanksgiving Dinner from the Turkey’s point of view…

In Turkey’s Revenge, Mr. Farmer and his wife are getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner. They couldn’t wait to have their favorite foods and dessert. Everything was all set except they didn’t have a turkey. Mr. Farmer tried to convince his dear wife to change the menu. After all, Thanksgiving isn’t just about the food. It’s about being thankful and spending time with your family and friends. The farmer’s wife would not be happy until her meal was complete. Mr. Farmer tried to have dinner without any meat. Thanksgiving was near and Ms. Farmer was certain Thanksgiving with a turkey would be the best day of the year? She sent her husband out to go get the bird. So, Mr. Farmer went out without saying a word.
On the other side of the barn, the animals were worried. They had to stop Mr. Farmer from eating their friend. They gathered together and came up with a plan. Mr. Pig wanted the farmer to pay. He wanted revenge, and he saw no other way.
“Let’s make farmer bacon,” Mr. Pig exclaimed! The animals were no longer going to sit back and allow Mr. Farmer to capture their feathery friends. It was time for revenge and the animals knew just what to do. Armed with eggs and other barn yard weapons, the animals prepared for an attack. Would Mr. Farmer get his plump bird for Thanksgiving, or will the animals teach him the ultimate Thanksgiving lesson

About the Author

Conya Bailey Scott is an outgoing former special educator who enjoys running, attending church events and spending time with her husband and two boys. She loves creating silly songs and books to help children recall facts, remember difficult concepts and of course laugh out loud. These days this mother of two has been busy coming up with creative ways to guide her college student through his final semesters of school, while tackling the terrible twos, toilet training and working full time. Talk about exhausting!

Writing has been her passion for years. If you ask her mother, this new author has been writing since grade school. When other girls were playing with dolls, she was pretending to create magazines on her little blue typewriter. To this day, she credits her quick typing skills to those summer writing days in Baltimore City where she grew up.

Her greatest goals in life are to teach her boys to dream big dreams, achieve their purposes and write funny children’s books that will make even her husband laugh. After all, loves ones are often the toughest audiences to please.
