I wanted to let all of you parents of younger ones in on this cute website that just started. The Banana Splits were popular back in the 60’s and now they are back! I have never heard of them before myself, but when I clicked on to the website my four year old loved it. The website has games, short comedy clips and music videos for your little one to watch and play. It is a fun way to keep them entertained if it is raining or while you are trying to get something else done, or even better to watch and play along with them. We played on the website for a while and our favorite thing was the rollar coaster ride game and song! Our little one liked their catchy theme song too. The characters are called The Fab Four (hmm I wonder who they are based on?) with the names Fleegie(the dog), Drooper(lion), Bingo(gorilla), and Snorky(elephant). They started in 1968 with “The Banana Splits Adventure Hour” a show created by Hanna-Barbera that aired on NBC. Now they will be seen on The Cartoon Network. I would love to hear if any of you remember watching this cute show. We don’t let our little one watch very much T.V. but I didn’t mind him playing on their cute website or watching their show because they celebrate music and now I can’t get that theme song out of my head! We reviewed this for Team Mom!

yep! one banana, two banana, three banana, four … four bananas make a bunch, and so do many more! Funny, the theme song popped into my head at the beginning of the summer (we were making banana splits, of course!), and the kids and I googled the rest of the lyrics. I didn’t realize it was back on TV/web; will have to check it out!
