REVIEW
Holly Robinson Pette has written a lovely book called My Brother Charlie to help young children understand Autism. Mirrored from her own life and children, the story is told from the point of view of a young twin sister whose brother has an Autism diagnosis. We see her point of view of how Charlie is different but unique and how some days are difficult but then there are days of magic.
As a mother of a child who is on the Autism spectrum, I am delighted and thrilled to have this book as a resource. My son is able to communicate, but there are definitely things in the book that we can relate to. Books like this are extremely helpful for using at schools and with siblings. The story is related at a level for young readers can understand. The pictures are so colorful and delightful to look at. I highly recommend it and am grateful to Holly for all of her advocacy and hard work in putting a spotlight on Autism.

I have been meaning to get this book. Thanks for the review. I read an article in a magazine and some of her husband’s comments really hit close to home.
