Changing Horses
One Woman’s Journey Through Horse Racing, Horse Rescue, and Horse Reflection
Esta G. Bernstein
Changing Horses -We all need a friend whether human or animal. Esta has written a nonfiction book that reads like a fiction novel. ‘Changing Horses’ is the story of the love that she has for horses and the people who love them as well.
Esta shares her knowledge of horses as well as her attitude to horses and humans living in this world together. She shares many happenings in her life of self and her friend ‘Caleyndar’, her favorite horse and friend. Through the book Esta has shown the ’empathy and compassion’ of what she believes and it shows in her writing.
This book has a beautiful Cover. The front cover with the horses head seems as if he wants to enter the readers head and let us see the story through his eyes. The photograph of the author and the horse shows the same, but understanding each other along with the reader. ‘Changing Horses’ would make a good book for social workers and counselors who use animal therapy with their clients.
On page 109 when Esta gets a call about a horse named Lucky, which starts her career in horse rehab. What she learns about herself through all her experiences will have the reader want to get a horse of some kind and try to be like her. At the end of the book there is an Appendix that defines and describes a Horse Rehabilitation Program that could be formed. I learned that when you care for animal of any kind you learn who you are and may become.
Book Summary Changing Horses
Why Do Horses Partner with Humans? Discover What You Are!One extraordinary night Esta dreamed of a mysterious gray mare named Lava Lady who spoke to her so rapidly that she was difficult to understand. When Esta woke, she was unable to shake the name Lava Lady and wondered whether there were horses in “real life” by that name. She located two of them—one living and one who had passed on. With the help of an animal communicator who attuned to both.Esta learned there was an urgent need in the horse racing world that had gone unmet—one that only she could fulfill.Changing Horses takes you through my very personal stories and lifetime experiences with horses. It also serves as a general informational guide about the souls of horses, spiritual awareness, transformation, and what I have found on my journeys when visiting the other side of the veil. It explores the body, mind, and soul of the horse in ways that I hope will enable you to apply their principles to your own life, help your own horses, and heal your deepest wounds
