The Journey to parenthood is filled with things we don’t know, don’t understand, and can’t even begin to imagine.

Who is really ready for parenthood at any time? It just happens it seems, ‘We’re Not Ready for You!’ Is a picture book for the young child in the day care or preschool set. A story that tells the story of what expectant parents need to consider when a new baby is coming. It shows in pictures what is needed to prepare for the coming of the new bundle of joy.

This is a great book to teach a young child what parents will do to make the child’s home happy and comfortable and let’s the child begin to understand that the new child will not replace them, but give them someone to play with and get to know.

The illustrations

by Sang let the pages turn and were drawn as a child would have drawn them and they were enjoyable from the expressions on the parents faces from finding out they were going to parents and when they new one is born.

There were plenty of giggles for me as well as the eight-year-old child and the soon to be twelve-year-old that also read the book. The artwork (illustrations) seem to be like it was done as a collage.
Using this book in the classroom of young children as stated earlier could be used when the child’s parents are having a second or even third child to help the young child what is happening at home as long as the teacher gets permission by the parents first. Another way to use this book could be in a parenting class at the secondary level. This is a five star read for all readers young and old alike. I would even use this book as a reminiscing type book for elderly generation.
