Last month, I wrote about Bausch + Lomb and Mom Central’s collaboration on Teen Talk and eye care. You can read more about this wonderful program here. We were asked to try their new line of contacts. Bausch + Lomb SofLens daily disposable lenses are the first and only daily disposables with High Definition™ Optics, an aspheric design that reduces spherical aberration over a range of powers – which means exceptional vision all day, and especially in low light.
Trent, my teenager, was the test subject for the Bausch + Lomb SofLens. He is a freshman at college and has worn contacts for about two years now. He previously wore a different brand.
Trent had difficulty putting them in at first because SofLens are a thinner lens then he is used to. They make the lenses thinner for a reason. They are made with ComfortMoist Technology – a combination of thin lens design and slow-releasing packaging solution to provide all-day comfort. Once Trent was able to put them in, he started to like them. His comments about his two weeks of wearing Softlens are below.
*I only had trouble inserting them quickly the first time, after that it was easy. They took about two days for me to get used to, because I wasn’t’ used to this type of lens.
*After I got used to them, I thought they were comfortable and I didn’t have dry eyes at all.
*I like they are daily wear and have the chance to wear new lens every day. I think this will reduce eye infections and problems for me and other people who have sensitive eyes.
*My vision was clearer than before.
*One disadvantage is that these lenses can fold in my eye when I lightly rub my eye, or when I wash my face. On the other occasions, they just folded a little bit and blinking restored them in place.
*I highly recommend them, if you are sensitive to contacts that are thinner, they take a few days to get used to.

I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Bausch + Lomb and received Soflens daily disposables to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
