After reading part TWO of this comic bookish Sci-Fi Saga all I can say is…
ZOIKERS! – Well that pretty much sums it up.
Ok I’ll give you a little more.
All I can say after reading Aoleon The Martian Girl: Science Fiction Saga - Part 2 The Luminess of Mars is don't be surprised if you go grocery shopping some day and find Milk going for $30 a gallon. It's all about supply and demand you know.
What I have learned from this book is 1 . no matter where you live those “Mean Girls” you remember from Middle and High school are everywhere. 2. Pizza is truly a Universal Food and 3. don’t ever underestimate the kid delivering said PIZZA.
Book two is all about Gilbert’s acclimation to Mars and it’s customs and way of life. Brent LeVasseur has created a fun martian landscape here. Complete with a cool history of the colonization of Mars. He’s given Aoleon Quite a spunky little personality. I remember someone just like her from my High School days. We get introduced to her life on Mars her friends and what makes these Martians tick. It’s pretty amazing the imagination of this author, how he mixes new original ideas of what life on Mars would be like with many similarities of things on Terra (earth). All the while our hero Gilbert takes it all in. The fun of the book is all the different creatures and characters from other planets and of course the Graphics.
Once again it’s the graphics that bring everything together. With my nook they are so bright and vivid I just love them.
Any young reader the enjoys the Sci fi Fantasy Genre will certainly enjoy this whole series. It’s simply just FUN!
