Black Ship Publishing and Joe O’neill have done it again…

I do love a good sequel. Do books have sequels? Ok Book II in the series. When I finished the first book
Rebels of the Kasbah ( which I really enjoyed) I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. The last book ended quite a bit different than this one.At the end of Rebels we get to see the main characters escape from slavery and things are looking up for them…
Well lets just say this one ends with just about every one in a heap of trouble especially Malik and Sanaa who are literally up to their necks in it. But then again they do have their eyes wide open to the future. (wink, wink) oops sorry guys.
What do I like about the book? Just about everything. To start is something  I don’t see much is a list of returning Characters from the previous book and then a list of new Characters introduced in this book.

This is an action packed adventure from the beginning. The story picks up where the first one left off. From there it flies in all directions. It just picks up steam as you go.The main characters are scattered across the globe from Morocco to France and England even Australia as we get introduced to ” Melborn Jack” Tariq’s newest friend and ally. The new characters are given back stories so you learn more about them and where they came from.

There is just so much going on here. once again Pirates, Rebels, Assassins , the British navy and now we even have the French Foreign Legion involved . Of course there’s the CAID (as in the Wrath of).

This is a true adventure with non stop action. The writing again is great. The author makes you care about the good guys and root against the villains. He just keeps building the story and by the end of the book it seems each character has a separate storyline for us to look forward to in book III . I was wondering how Margaret was going to get back involved in the action after being sent back to England,But he cleverly kept us interested in her life in England and surprised me with a very interesting ending.

I guess this is classified as a Kids or Young Adult adventure but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and again can’t wait to see what happens next.
