Timothy Mean

             and the Time Machine
.
“What an imagination?”  ‘Timothy Mean and the Time Machine’ written by William A.E. Ford and illustrated by Marcelo Simonetti is children’s picture book describing a little boy by the name of Timothy and his adventures with a homemade time machine.  Time Machine AdventuresWhy is Timothy described in this way other than that being his name?  Readers will find out as they read the story and really look at the pictures throughout the book.  While reading a question to ask the readers and/or the listeners ‘Is Timothy really that mean or just curious to see what will happen on his adventures when presented with situations.
The cover art and also the pictures throughout the picture book are colorful and fully-detailed even that the beginning reader can ‘read the pictures’ and to begin to understand what is happening during the story.  This is also a good story to teach the days of the week.  My favorite day in this story was Friday, but really I liked them all.  At the end of the story Timothy sees what the future maybe and is a wish of all children depending what may be going on at schools every once in awhile.  The last picture of the story could be the way things should work out, but just wonder.

Join Timothy on a magical rhyming adventure as he skips through time and pranks with pirates, gets daring with dragons, and even teases a T-Rex!”
