The Witcher Books Series , The Witcher Saga
Like most of you I spent the year of COVID stuck in the house binging on TV. After a while your eyeballs start buggin’ out.
Between Netflix, Amazon Prime ,Hulu, Disney Plus, Roko and so many others your options are endless.The problem is finding something that you can really get into. They are not all Breaking Bad after all.
The biggest disappointment is when you see a show that was based on a favorite book of yours. You hope it will be as good as the book but it just does not do it for you. It is almost a given that very few great books , Books that you love will also be great movies.The Harry Potter movies came close but the books are still better. Now the Godfather I feel is one of the very few where the movie can match the book in it’s greatness. Now Catch 22 a tall bomb of a movie(IMHO) .The Fellowship of the rings? I did like the movies very much but in all fairness you just can’t match that book series.
The thing about a TV series is they have more time to tell the entire story. They don’t have to leave too much on the editing floor. One show I am looking forward to check out is Witcher on NETFLIX. I know the first season came out in 2019 but I just have not gotten around to it.Something like that I have to watch when my wife is not around.She seems to think Vampires are STOOOOPID! oh and ZOMBIES TOO!. Yeah I know ,what’s up withe some people? I always liked the Horror Sci/Fi stuff
Ok so back to the Witcher Books . Again this is one of those book series’ that I liked and I hope the TV series can live up to my expectations.
For those of you that have not yet read the Witcher books.Why Not? Would be my first question. Or maybe if you have seen the netflix show maybe now you should go out and read the books before you see season two on Netflix. Check them out below.
