Smallville has sadly ended it’s long run with ten seasons that are now available on DVD and Blu Ray. We were asked to write about some ideas for a sequel or a continuation of Smallville. I don’t think there is much more to the Clark story that would appeal to me that the movies haven’t covered. I would like to see a spin off show featuring a powerful, smart and sexy woman, Supergirl. Do you remember the movie with Helen Slater and Faye Dunaway? It was made in 1984 and looks cheesy now, but as a young teen, I remember looking up to Supergirl and really enjoyed the movie. She even had a hot boyfriend.
It would be fun to see Supergirl juggle saving the world and dating. Tom Welling could make a cameo in the pilot because in the comic books he gave Supergirl her name and set her up with a foster family. (They didn’t know about her super-powers.) They could model it after Buffy the Vampire Slayer and even cast James Marsters (who played the evil Brainiac) in Smallville. It’s time to have another strong female on television and both girls and boys would be thrilled to tune in to Supergirl. How would you write a continuation or a spin off of Smallville? Let me know in the comment section!
