The National Geographic Kids Student World Atlas is a very vivid book with glossy pages and pictures to help teachers and students at all educational levels about maps of all kinds, the physical systems, as in weather and climate maps.  Other areas that the atlas covers are the major continents and the countries within them of the world.  The book also covers many cultural aspects of the countries as well.  The articles that are offered in each section covers how the peoples live physically and even emotionally. Other ideas that can be learned and even memorized are the various flags of the nations as well as skills like latitude and longitude in finding countries and cities of the world.

This book would be a good book for teachers and even counselors to improve diversity and working with foreign exchange students.  It would also be a good book for parents to use in some cases as mentioned previously.  Teachers can create puzzles, quizzes dealing with geography that could deal with economics and political systems of each nation.  Teachers, counselors and parents can do the activities with their students and children as discovery activities and learning about others that are different from us even if the parents may remember doing these activities maybe as a student themselves, which is good for it is sharing memories and making a connection with the younger generation.A wonderful Reference .
