Dr

Do you have problems with your feet? I have the flattest feet and they give me problems when I walk for exercise. I have used Dr Scholl’s inserts for several years now and was excited to find out about their new “FootMapping” technology by participating in Mom Central’s blog tour.

Product Description (from website)

Dr. Scholl’s Custom Fit Orthotic Centers, located in retail stores near you, feature Footmapping® Technology to identify the areas where you apply the most pressure and your arch type. After more than 2,000 sensors calculate your unique measurements, the kiosk then recommends the Custom Fit Orthotic Insert that best fits your feet. It only takes a few minutes to obtain your Custom Fit Orthotic Insert recommendation.

My Review

The Dr Scholl’s website has a kiosk finder to find the nearest store that has one. I found our local Walmart has one and it is located in the pharmacy section. You can’t miss it.

It looks a bit scary to use, but it was actually very easy to follow the directions and get my results. I pushed a few buttons and it scanned both feet. The screen displayed what type of insert it recommends and the Orthotic Inserts are right there on the side of the kiosk to grab and buy. I would have liked to have a paper print out, so make sure you have a pen and paper to write down your results.

Of course, it recognized I have flat feet and gave me the results of which insert would work the best for me. When I received them, I figured out they don’t fit in every shoe. They fit great with my older tennis shoes and my sandals.

When you place them in your shoes, remember they won’t cover the entire shoe. They go about 3/4 of the way to the end. I first thought they felt too tight in my tennis shoes, but they adjusted to my shoes after walking in them a couple of days. They also made me slightly taller, which is cool. Ha.

The most amount of time I used them was on a trip with my husband. We did a lot of walking and my feet felt great. I did think it took a bit of getting used to, but my feet didn’t ache at the end of the day. The price is great at around $50.00, compared to the high cost of going to a foot specialist for inserts.

Go Shopping

Visit the Dr School’s website for more information about FootMapping. There is a video demo that shows you how to use the kiosk and a kiosk finder so you can find the closest one to you. I have a rebate offer from Mom Central to save $7.50 on your next purchase of Custom Fit Orthotic Inserts.
