MY REVIEW

I dream of those stories and characters that will challenge and move me and The Help makes that dream come true. The Help goes back to the history of the Civil Rights Movement in Mississippi as told through the eyes of two black maids and one young, idealistic white woman. Each woman takes turns narrating the chapters and it works well with the story. The author, Kathryn Stockett, made me feel the unimaginable humiliation and disregard that Aibileen and Minny endured, but it is their strength and dignity that helps them overcome. Learning how the three women come together in the story and how things will turn out, kept me anxiously turning the pages. The Help is about hope, loss, bravery, fear, change and love. I hadn’t tried a diffuser before, so when I first opened it, I put in every reed.  If you can’t guess, it was too strong.  After I took out most of them, I enjoyed the scent that it gave out continuously in my kitchen.  I can definitely tell it is really well made and a luxury product.  I also really like the company and the fact they use local artisans with recycled materials.  If you like diffussers and candles then Zensual is a great company to get them from.

I really liked the scent, it is fresh and spicy.  The lotion was creamy and felt nice on my hands. The body scrub was yummy too.  I would agree this would be a lovely gift for someone who enjoys lotions and scrubs or this would be a great indulgent gift for yourself!

Bookroom Review:

I am not an expert with make up. In fact the easier the better and you will have me hooked.  So, this eyeshadow is PERFECT for someone like me!  The eyeshadow goes on like a sticker because you just peel and stick to your eyes and it stays on for long wearing time. I like how easy this is to use and the color is pretty easy to place on your lids(make sure you have a steady hand.) The colors are rich and bold and didn’t wear off for a long time.  Quick, easy and useful, especially for busy women on the go!
