There once was a pretty girl named Catalina, that lived with the King and she baked delicious desserts. Catalina’s family lived in the nearby village and she was so excited to get to visit them. One day the King decided he wanted to build a wall to keep the village people out.  This really upset Catalina.

Catalina decided she had a way to help build a wall.  Catalina told the King to build a wall with her gooey icing so he agreed.  That night the rains came and washed the icing down.  Catalina smiled because she knew that would happen.

The King was mad and demanded a new wall be built.  This time Catalina suggested a wall of sprinkles and the King agreed.  That night the wind blew and sprinkles went everywhere.  Catalina smiled because she knew that would happen.

The King demanded a new wall be built.  Catalina knew she had to see her family so she decided to suggest a cookie wall.  The King agreed.  A cookie wall was built.  Rains and wind came and still the wall stood.  Catalina began to worry she would never see her family again.  Suddenly, a piece of cookie flew off the wall and the King ate it.  He loved the cookie wall so much he kept eating and eating until he was very full and fell asleep.  Catalina smiled because she knew that would happen.  Catalina’s family arrived and the family reunion began as soon as it could.  Catalina was happy and the King was fast asleep.

This brightly illustrated book lets children everywhere know to stay determined whenever they feel strongly about something and to not let people tell them they can’t.  I loved this book!  It is a large, easy to read, hardcover book that could fast become a nightly bedtime reader.  Your children will love it!
