Air/Q Air Freshener from Prolitec Giveaway

Air FreshenerAir/Q™ Whole Room Air Freshener™ from Prolitec is an amazing new home air freshener solution. You simply plug it in, don’t think about it, and enjoy the wonderfully fresh scent in your home.

About Air/Q™ Whole Room Air Freshener™ from Prolitec

Air/Q, a sleek, design-friendly cube (just 5 inches tall), enables users to create customized scent experiences that are in perfect sync with the look and feel of their home design. As the first and only fully adjustable room air freshener on the market today, Air/Q also happens to be the greenest, safest way to kill odors of all types (including pet odors) and introduce scent into the air. Unlike scented candles, this visually unobtrusive system works without emitting harmful soot or VOCs, and requires neither flame nor heat.

The system is a miniature version of Prolitec’s commercial technology, already popular with elegant hotels, resorts, spas and retail shops across the globe. As with the commercial units, scent intensity levels can be set from “1” to “50” to precisely match room sizes and user tastes, and the device can be programmed to start and stop at certain times each day. Prolitec’s patented micro-droplet technology, moreover, delivers a uniform scent impact with an ultra-low quantity of fragrance in the air—less than one molecule in every 1 million. By combining this ultra-low concentration of fragrance with a “smart” and environmentally sensible delivery system, homeowners can take creative approaches to scent as never before.

Users can choose from a dozen scents, including Clear Sky, Lemon Verbena, Rose and Peony, and Mojito. The recyclable cartridges are easy to replace. Priced at $199.95 (including a fragrance cartridge), Air/Q is available at airq.com, amazon.com, and Hammacher Schlemmer.

From an operating cost standpoint, Air/Q is less expensive to deploy than candles and comparable to many plug-ins and wicks. More specifically, to scent an area with 7,500 cubic feet (750 square feet with 10-foot ceilings), Air/Q costs about 2 cents per hour to operate (assuming a 3-year life for the machine and a price of $48 per cartridge). This compares with costs of approximately 4 cents to 10 cents per hour for candles of varying prices, and approximately 1 cent to 3 cents for plug-ins and wicks.
