Twilight was the previous title from Stephanie Meyers, author of the new book, The Host, which will be reviewed as soon as it comes out in a couple weeks.  The Host is being marketed to adults, but I am sure Meyer’s expects a crossing over from the teen population who might want to read her new book as much as they did her popular “Twilight” series.

I do not fit into the teen or young adult market that Twilight was geared for, but after hearing so much buzz about the fact that adults were loving the book as much as younger readers, I decided to pick it up.  I was quickly hooked.  It was an especially quick and enjoyable read.  I liked the premise of a “likable” vampire who falls in love with a mortal.  I could relate to the storyline of falling for a handsome vampire.  I fell in love as a teen with Jason Patrick during his role in the movie Lost Boys!

I could see why teen girls were swept up in the romance and I pleasantly liked the fact that the author definitely kept the story and detail PG rated.  This is unique, compared to a lot of YA books coming out now.  I am looking forward to the movie.  You can find some more information and pictures of the book here.  Also, if you are unfamiliar with the author, Stephanie Meyers, you can check out a great article about her from Time magazine.
