I have been an avid reader since birth. Reading opens a whole new world to me and I love the feelings great books bring to me. Sony started a website called WORDS MOVE ME,which is about connecting readers with those emotions they felt while reading a certain book. For instance, if I want to read a book that will make me happy, I can search that term and see what it brings up. What a cool way to look for books! The widget you see below features book-quotes that are meaningful to me. Click to the left or the right of the center box to scroll through the quotes that I’ve chosen.
Once you find a book you like, you can head over to purchase the book for your Sony Reader. There is a huge library of books available for purchase, as well as thousands of classic titles available for FREE download via GOOGLE. I like that they provide free books!
I am a virgin e reader and am excited to try out the Sony Pocket Reader. I haven’t received it yet, so I cannot review it for this giveaway, but I will let you know what I think. Below are the details about the Sony Pocket Reader . There is a video on the Sony website about the Reader, it is actually on sale for $179.99.

The world is a looking-glass, and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face. Frown at it, and it will in turn look sourly upon you; laugh at it and with it, and it is a jolly kind companion; and so let all young persons take their choice.
Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray

The one that spoke to me was “Though there had been moments of beauty in it, Miriam knew that life for the most part had been unkind to her. But as she walked the final twenty paces, she could not help but wish for more of it.” from Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. This was such a great book, so much so that there were moments where I had to put it down and breathe.
When I am full of silence, and no one else is near, the voice I keep inside of me is all I want to hear. I settle in my secret place, contented and alone, and think no other thoughts except the thoughts that are my own.

Wow….went to the website and this is what popped out at me:

From that time on, the world was hers for the reading. She would never be lonely again, never miss the lack of intimate friends. Books became her friends and there was one for every mood.
“There is pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more, From these our interviews, in which I steal From all” Childe Harold by Lord Byron
“A minute of perfection was worth the effort. A moment was the most you could ever expect from perfection. ” Words to live by – savor those rare moments of bliss!
The literary moment I found there that spoke to me was: “From that time on, the world was hers for the reading. She would never be lonely again, never miss the lack of intimate friends. Books became her friends and there was one for every mood.” from the book “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.”
Someone had posted this about Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte – The moment towards the end of the book when Jane heard Mr. Rochesters voice in her head just as clear as if he was standing beside her and runs back to find him in such a horrible shape but still loved him. Thats when I knew I have found a great book.
I love the quote from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn: “From that time on, the world was hers for the reading. She would never be lonely again, never miss the lack of intimate friends. Books became her friend and there was one for every mood.”
