Every Christmas I make sure and watch all of the Christmas Classics that come on television.  My absolute favorite is Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  When I watch them, I am instantly transported back to my childhood.  Now I am thrilled to be able to share those wonderful classic shows with my children.  I was so excited to see all of the Christmas Classics come together in a DVD set.  They also released another set of The New Christmas Classics.  These DVD sets would make a special gift for anyone on your Holiday list.

christmas-classics-box-artThe Original Christmas Classics Limited Keepsake Edition contains seven of the most popular holiday specials of all time, including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the longest-running and highest rated holiday special in history, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town and more.  Families can also begin a new holiday viewing tradition with The New Christmas Classics, featuring animated specials starring some of their favorite characters, including George of the Jungle, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Gumby and Fat Albert. Both The Original Christmas Classics and The New Christmas Classics are available wherever DVDs are sold. They are both also available at Amazon.

blonde-boyChristmas traditions are something that children remember for a lifetime.  They are special memories.  I have some wonderful memories from my childhood.  It is always fun to find unique ideas to start new traditions.  Elf Magic is a fun and new tradition that we are starting with our four year old.  Elf Magic is the timeless Christmas tradition that has created special memories for countless children and families in homes around the world.  So what is Elf Magic exactly?

First write a letter to Santa asking him to reserve a special Elf to visit and spend Christmas at your home. Crackers and water are the tasty treat that helps lure an Elf Magic Elf to the home – so be sure the child puts them out at night while he or she waits for the Elf to arrive… the Elf will want at least one serving a night. Why crackers and water, you might wonder? The crackers sound like crunching snow, and the water is melted North Pole Snowflakes, of course!

To the surprise of the child, an Elf “Magically” appears at your home between Thanksgiving and Christmas. That is… once the Elf has finished all of his or her work at the North Pole. Be sure to check for the snowflake on the Elf’s heart placed there by Santa, himself – that’s how you’ll know it’s an authentic Elf Magic elf!

An Elf Magic Elf brings with him a poem, which explains his or her visit, and North Pole Snowflakes, which the child sprinkles on the Elf each night to bring him to life – allowing the Elf to go on all types of adventures! The Elf hides for the child to find the next morning. Wonder where he might hide first?

All the fun doesn’t just happen at night – Elf Magic Elves love to go with you on all of your adventures throughout the day. Their visit is only for a short time, so playing with the Elf Magic Elf makes the visit even more special and creates family memories that will last a lifetime.

On Christmas Day, the child discovers the Elf has returned to the North Pole, and though sad to see the Elf go, he or she knows their special friend will magically return the following year to celebrate Christmas again. Besides, since a whole year is too long for some Elves to stay away, they occasionally drop back in briefly for birthdays and other special celebrations, with the parents’ permission, of course!

Elf Magic has a variety of Elves to choose from.  Each Elf arrives straight from the North Pole in a velvety Elf-Size Santa Sack along with a nametag, magical North Pole Snowflakes (to bring him to life nightly, of course), instructions and his Elf Poem.  They are absolutely adorable and our son loves his Elf!  This is such a special tradition you can start with your children every Christmas.  It is something that is done leading up to Christmas, and you can incorporate your own stories into it as well.  We still make sure and stress the importance of Jesus birth and told him our Elf helped make toys for boys and girls who don’t have any.  This is hopefully a tradition he will remember always. You can purchase the Elf’s and accessories at www.elf-magic.com. There are some great Santa Specials going on right now!  They also offer some fun Christmas links.

Do you want to start the Elf Magic Tradition?  Well, they have offered to give one of you an early Christmas present of your own Elf Magic!  Merry Christmas!
