Carrie Bradshaw YA Book Series
Candace Bushnell, the author of Sex and the City, has agreed to pen a series of YA novels for HarperCollins based on Carrie Bradshaw. According to reports, the series, titled The Carrie Diaries, will chronicle her high school years. If it remains consistent with the show, it may include Carrie’s loss-of-virginity to someone named Seth Bateman, her absent father, many 80s references, and the absence of anyone named Charlotte, Samantha or Miranda. As far as the teen Carrie years, I’ll skip it. For me, the magic of SATC is the friendship between the 4 women; I’m not sure it’ll work without that.
