Candace Bushnell, the author of Sex and the City,  has agreed to pen a series of YA novels for HarperCollins based on Carrie Bradshaw.  According to reports, the series, titled The Carrie Diarieswill chronicle her high school years.   If it remains consistent with the show, it may include Carrie’s loss-of-virginity to someone named Seth Bateman, her absent father, many 80s references, and the absence of anyone named Charlotte, Samantha or Miranda.  You must check out this hilarious post from Jezebel about their version of the book.  I had to post this picture here because I love it!  Can anyone guess where the picture came from?  You get a cyber high five if you get it right!  But seriously what do you think of the idea?

The picture reminds me of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”

As far as the teen Carrie years, I’ll skip it. For me, the magic of SATC is the friendship between the 4 women; I’m not sure it’ll work without that.

I think the picture is rfmo the movie, “Aquamarine” except without the tales.
