Most Chatty Nominees Spotlight
Defintion of Chatty: 1. (of a person) fond of friendly, informal conversation; Inclined to chat; friendly and talkative I would say that all of these wonderful nominees fit this bill! I wanted to spotlight the nominees for Most Chatty. Don’t forget to come back here Wednesday to see who the winner is! Tomorrow I will spotlight the Best YA Blogs on YA Monday.
Heather describes herself this way on her blog: What began as a simple catalog of all the books I read at age 30 has turned into place to express my love of all things bookish. And guess what? There’s a whole community of people just like me out there – who knew?! I am an Ambassador of Books ~ Book Club Madam ~ Blogger Gal Oh, and in case you’re wondering … Ambassador of Books came from this; Book Club Madam is what my book club calls me since I’m the one who gets things done and “keeps the girls in line”; and Blogger Gal is what I’ve become. And – get this! – I even have business cards with that tag line on them! Her latest post is a delightful tale of e-mailing the publisher about the book they sent that she left on top of her car. All of her posts are witty, informative and yes chatty:) I love the fact she has business cards too!
Trish’s tagline is Welcome to My Nightmare. She has described herself as an I’m so Lame blogger and this is just a hint of the humor and openess she displays on her blog. Plus her book reviews are fab. She is also a partner with Lisa from Books on the Brain for TLC books which showcases author’s and their books on blog tours. It’s not a surprise she is also nominated for the funniest. One recent post was entilted “My Big Head” which was about her trip to a hat store. I encourage you to run over and read the rest, you won’t be disappointed! She is in my google reader!
J. Kaye’s tagline is “Where reading takes Priority.” She describes herself as a Maxine lookalike. Here is what she says on her blog. If you can’t tell, I love Maxine. We are very much alike with the attitude and sadly even look like sisters. There are a couple of differences. One is she’s skinny. The second is she wears way too much color. I’ll wear all grey all the time, if given the choice. And before I go further, let me introduce myself. My name is J. Kaye Oldner. The “J” stands for Judith, but most of my friends call me “J. Kaye”. I love reading, writing, and blogging. Something I started late in 2007 is reviewing books. I’ve blogged about books in the past, but have become a bit more serious in 2007. This is when J. Kaye’s Book Blog was created J. Kaye’s blog is a wonderful mix. She is funny and open and genuine which shows because she is also nominated in just about every category and it is well deserved. If you aren’t already a fan then you should be. Oh, yeah she is writing a book too! Can’t wait for it!
Their profile states, We’re two amusing chicks with more books and opinions than we know what to do with. Love to read and discuss the things you read about? Drop in and join us! Comments, questions, and friendly debates are always more than welcome. Oh, we’d also like to take this moment to point out that saying “we’d love to read your book” does not necessarily mean “we’d love your book.” We will nitpick, we will get snarky, we will poke fun at the books you love. If you’d still like us to take a look at your baby, snarky tendencies notwithstanding, go ahead! Send us that e-mail! Their profile alone is hysterical! They are nominated in an amazing six categories so they are a very popular blog! If you love Sci Fi, Romance and Fantasy then I recommend checking out their wonderful blog!
Kristie and Katiebabs have been blogging since 2005! That is an inspiration to us newbie bloggers. What I thought was cute about their book giveaways is, you have to guess from clues about another book and the first person to guess correctly wins the book. Their reviews are informative and witty. Their most recent post is a funny chat that’s a bit R rated that had me blushing! Don’t you just love their banner too! If you are a fan of romance then they should be your first stop!

Great blogs here! I’ve visited all of them but I’m a regular reader of J. Kaye and Hey Lady! Whatcha Readin’?
I have all these blogs in my reader…I don’t normally review romance books on my blog, but I read a lot of the romance review blogs and have been reading RoR for awhile now. OCD was new to me through BBAW.
This is a great post, Tracy, thanks so much for the work and thought you put into it!
