Book Into Movie Day

But behind the glitz and glam, Bernice has followed the life of the daughter she gave up for adoption thirty-six years ago. Now that she’s got her act together, she’s aiming to be a mom like she always knew she could. And she’s hurtling straight for April’s quiet little life….

I haven’t read Elinor Lipman’s book but I watched the movie last month and thought it was truly touching and even cried at the end.  Helen Hunt directs, wrote and stars in the movie and I hope you take the time to watch this wonderful little movie.  Below is the trailer.  It is out on dvd now.  If you have seen it or read the book or want to do both please leave me a comment with your thoughts.  I’d love to hear from you!
