100 Great Children’s Books to read in a Lifetime

From simple picture books like “Good Night Moon” and “The Day the Crayons Quit” to  classic Dr. Seuss like “Green Eggs and Ham” or more Young Adult classics like “Little Women” or “Tom Sawyer” these books are must reads.100 Great Children's Books

I guess these books would have been a pretty good list of “Summer Reads” but with school starting right around the corner now would be a good time to get those kids reading. So check out the list and see if you agree. There are a few obvious classics missing but it’s hard to decide what  a children’s book actually is.( Catcher in the Rye)(Moby Dick) but anyway …

Please if your favorite is not here let us know in the comment section. We’d love to hear your thoughts. What is your favorite and why? My two Favorites in this group are quite a bit different from one another. They are “Green Eggs and Ham” and “The Hobbit”

Green Eggs and Ham simply because it is what it is.Perfect to read to a child with it’s nonsensical (and Seussical verse ) It’s also the perfect book to help Kids learn and try to read on their own.

The Hobbit  once again because it is what it is. The for the most part the first of it’s kind . It just about created a whole new Genre. There were others but not like this.Of course followed by Fellowship of the Rings.
